$30–$40/hr base + commission + bonuses + overtime | 32 - 40 hours/week guaranteed for 6 months Insurance & 401k Retention bonuses that grow the longer you stay — $1,000 at 3 months, $1,500 at 6 months, and $3,500 at your one-year mark. This is a full-scope role at launch — service and installation — but we're committed to bringing on a dedicated Installer within 90 days so you can focus on what you do best: Servicing, Repair, Maintenance If you're running a solo HVAC operation and spending half your time on marketing, billing, and paperwork instead of working — we'd like to talk. Fold into our brand and focus entirely on the technical work while we handle the rest. Your Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (heating, cooling, air quality) Perform preventive maintenance and system tune-ups Advise on System Upgrades, Improvements, and Service Plans – Help customers uncover additional opportunities and needs related to their home comfort and air quality while offering your expert recommendation for the best solution. Installations Lead full system replacements and new equipment installations — heat pumps, gas furnaces, central A/C, air handlers, and ductless/mini-split systems Manage installs start to finish: equipment staging, line set, electrical connections, refrigerant charging, startup, and customer walkthrough Team & Admin Document all work accurately in ServiceTitan (our field management software) Represent Aire Serv professionally — appearance, communication, and attitude Mentor apprentice-level technicians as the team grows Consistently follow the Aire Serv service process How to Know If This is the Job for You You want to be a core part of something being built. What We're Looking For Required: 3–10 years of hands-on HVAC experience (residential service and installation) Journeyman-level license and ability to perform: diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and complete system installations (heat pumps, gas furnaces, central A/C, air handlers) Strong people skills and the ability to build a genuine rapport with customers. You act with integrity and honesty. EPA 608 Universal Certification (required — must have before start) Valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record Strong communication skills with customers — you can explain a repair in plain English Professional appearance and pride in your work Ability to lift 60 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and tight spaces Preferred but not required: Experience servicing roof top units Experience with ductless/mini-split systems (Mitsubishi, Daikin, etc.) Brazing, refrigerant line set, and startup experience on new installs Health Insurance 401k Take home company van and dispatch from home iPad + all tools and apps loaded and ready Uniforms provided — you look the part, we cover the cost Paid time off starting year one, with annual increases + paid holidays Year-round employment — no slow-season layoffs Paid training at manufacturer facilities and Aire Serv corporate — we cover travel, meals, and lodging Service area: Charlottesville, Crozet, Waynesboro (generally) Schedule: Monday–Friday base; overtime as needed What to Expect When You Apply A quick phone call so we can learn about you and answer your questions.
