Skilled RN Pediatric Homecare Trach & Ventilator

Our goal is to support nurses in delivering one‑on‑one care in patients’ homes while fostering a supportive team environment. Job Overview Family First Homecare (FFHC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high‑quality, in‑home nursing care to pediatric patients. In this role you will provide comprehensive nursing services while adhering to Family First Homecare policies, state Nurse Practice Acts, and applicable State and Federal regulations. Key Responsibilities Accountable for providing care within the scope of your licensure or certification. Maintain an updated clinical record for each patient at all times, meeting documentation deadlines. Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing services to the patient and family continuously. Consult with physicians regarding changes to patient care plans, document all changes, and report to the nurse supervisor. Support FFHC’s mission by mentoring or coaching new employees during patient‑specific orientations. Educate patients and caregivers on topics related to patient care needs. Participate in FFHC Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement program (QAPI) as requested. Continuously strive to improve nursing care skills. Attend and/or complete all mandatory training/in‑services as assigned. Submit required personnel file documentation promptly. Adhere to FFHC compliance and ethics expectations. Maintain patient and family confidentiality. Maintain professional, supportive, and responsive interpersonal communication skills. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications RN nursing degree. Unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state of employment or a Multi‑State license through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact where recognized. At least one year of demonstrable experience. Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance in applicable states. Clear background screening. Working knowledge of state Nurse Practice Acts. Valid and current CPR certificate with instructor‑led hands‑on skills check. Clear HepatitisB screening. Clear Tuberculosis screening. State‑Specific Requirements Florida: Driver’s license with proof of insurance not required; staff prohibited from driving patients. Illinois: Driver’s license with proof of insurance not required; staff prohibited from driving patients. Pennsylvania: Additional background screening including Child Abuse and FBI check; TB screening required with documented proof of 2‑step PPD within the last year. Texas: No additional state‑specific requirements. Competencies Read and communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Working Conditions/Equipment Use Work is performed in patients’ homes, generally not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Training may occur in an office setting. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds without an assisted lifting device and use office equipment such as telephone, computer, and printer regularly.
