Outside Sales Representative

Summary Shepherd Controls is looking for a driven sales professional to join our team in Arkansas. Shepherd Controls & Associates is a distributor of industrial automation products and solutions. We help manufacturers and other industrial customers solve real-world challenges through automation, making their operations smarter, faster, and more productive. Responsibilities Develop and maintain a basic understanding of the product lines we represent, as well as the industrial automation industry as a whole. Build relationships with new and existing customers to grow your territory. Prospect and develop new accounts through targeted outreach, leads, and networking. Provide customers with live product demonstrations. Collaborate with our internal solutions group and supplier partners to develop solutions using Shepherd’s broad automation portfolio. Present solutions that connect technical capabilities to real business outcomes. Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce. We are looking for someone who is: Competitive, ambitious, self-motivated, and driven by results. Curious about how things work and comfortable learning technical products and applications. Confident meeting customers, asking thoughtful questions, and proposing solutions. Coachable and committed to continuously improving as a salesperson. Experience We'd Like to See Any combination of the following is valuable: Industrial automation, controls, robotics, or related technical experience. Technical B2B or outside sales experience. Engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or applications experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field—or equivalent experience. Don't check every box?
