Showroom Manager

Role Overview Manager Showroom Sales – first‑level manager who leads the day‑to‑day activities of a Design Sales team in sales strategies and showroom operations to drive revenue and customer satisfaction. Executes strategies to drive sales, expand market share, and ensure customer satisfaction within a geographic area to meet operational goals, including annual sales, margin targets, and operating income. Saturdays are required for this role. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategies to drive new business and relationships in the assigned markets. Recruit, train, lead, and develop associates in all areas of job‑specific responsibilities. Clearly define goals and objectives for showroom personnel, measure performance, and communicate objectives. Log all client showroom visits, contact information, and customer preference and selection notes in CMT. Promote showroom through marketing/media and events, optimizing exposure. Maintain and update design aid tools that help secure customer sales. Make outside sales calls and follow up on leads as needed. Ensure safe operations of gallery, including opening/closing store. Plan and host events to draw new customers into showroom. Maintain showroom samples and merchandising. Attend industry events to network and promote showroom. Make decisions on behalf of team within unit parameters. Recommend changes to unit policies. Provide direction to team according to policies and guidance. Oversee day‑to‑day work schedules and plans. Act as advisor to unit, resolving problems. Exercise judgment within procedures and policies. Analyze situations and resolve issues. Perform other duties as needed. Required Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 6‑8 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1‑3 years of management experience. Competencies Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. Focused on and responsible for team's productivity and collective impact. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite products. Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, able to handle multiple projects. High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in absence of formal guidelines. Additional Requirements Responsible for direct reports. Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
