We are looking for an experienced Business Operations Manager, known internally as Customer Integrity & Threat Detection Manager, to detect, disrupt, and investigate potential misuse of the service—including proactively combating and deterring illicit operators. This person must strike the careful balance of safeguarding customer information and privacy while applying enforcement measures and executing with an even-handed approach, avoiding overreach and disproportionate collateral impacts. RESPONSIBILITIES:Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risksDesign and develop solutions to priority risks. Own their deployment and effectiveness in concert with a wide range of stakeholders  Represent the team in cross-functional groups and in appropriate areas of expertise Establish yourself as an expert in 2+ relevant investigative techniques, technologies or abuse prevention strategies Reactively investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods and activities  Conduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligations  Execute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreach   BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations; OR 12+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations in lieu of a degree6+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (e.g., R)6+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities)3+ years owning and driving improvements in processes, technology, or other business areas to improve customer integrity or related capabilities PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Experience enabling others, influencing organizational decisions, and building consensus around solutions to challenging problems Strong analytical research and communication skills, including excellent written and oral communication skillsInternational professional exposure (e.g., working abroad or on global initiatives/businesses)Experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or vulnerability assessment in high-stakes environmentsExperience with research and intelligence analytic techniques, including open-source intelligence (OSINT) data techniquesAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-paced, high-tech environmentHighly organized with a strong attention to detailAbility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlinesFamiliarity with U.S. and international economic sanctions and export control laws and regulationsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to travel as needed for business (15%)This position is based in Bastrop, TX and requires being onsite—remote work not consideredMust be able to work extended hours and weekends as neededITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
