- Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
- Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
- Facilitate individualized speech therapy interventions focusing on language, swallowing, fluency, and voice.
- Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to foster effective treatment strategies.
- Educate patients and families to empower progress outside of the clinical setting.
- Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation consistent with state and federal regulations.
- Engage in ongoing learning and professional growth through continued education and networking with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Proficient in evidence-based interventions tailored to all age groups, with a solid understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adept at adjusting therapeutic techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic needs.
