Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Facilitate individualized speech therapy interventions focusing on language, swallowing, fluency, and voice.
• Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to foster effective treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and families to empower progress outside of the clinical setting.
• Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation consistent with state and federal regulations.
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional growth through continued education and networking with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
