Sr. Administrative Assistant

Location: San Antonio, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $21.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant - Senior to support a fast-paced Human Resources team in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for an organized professional who thrives in a high-volume environment and enjoys supporting HR operations, employee onboarding, and administrative processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support across multiple Human Resources functions
• Assist in gathering, compiling, and maintaining data for HR reports, audits, and departmental initiatives
• Process and explain HR forms, policies, and procedures to employees and applicants
• Support onboarding activities, including pre-employment paperwork, badge processing, and new hire coordination
• Conduct employment and prior service verifications
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate employee and applicant records in HR systems
• Provide front desk reception support and respond to general HR inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Assist recruiters with scheduling, documentation, and clerical support
• Provide backup support for HR systems and related administrative processes
• Support development and maintenance of HR procedures and documentation
• Ensure all activities align with organizational policies and compliance standards
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Paralegal experience is a plus
• Previous administrative or Human Resources support experience preferred
• Strong organizational, data entry, and recordkeeping skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds occasionally as needed
