Group Sales Manager

Helix Hospitality is seeking a driven, energetic Group Sales Manager to generate group business for our Comfort Suites Bentonville and Country Inn & Suites Rogers hotels. This is not a role for someone who simply waits for the phone to ring, responds to incoming RFPs, and processes leads. We need someone who goes after the business. The right person will know how to identify opportunities in the Northwest Arkansas market, find the decision-makers, start conversations, build relationships, and turn prospects into room nights. WHAT YOU'LL DO We’re looking for a HUNTER. WHAT YOU'LL DO Actively prospect for new group business throughout Northwest Arkansas Identify companies, organizations, events, tournaments, projects, meetings, and other group opportunities Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective business Make outbound calls, conduct site visits, attend networking events, and get out into the market Develop relationships with corporate travel planners, meeting planners, sports organizations, wedding/event contacts, construction/project teams, and other group producers Re-engage previous clients and uncover opportunities that may have gone dormant Respond quickly and professionally to inbound opportunities—but never rely on inbound leads alone Partner with hotel leadership and the Helix Hospitality sales team to develop strategies that drive occupancy and revenue Track activity, follow-up, conversion, and results WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR We want someone who is: Hungry. Competitive. Persistent. Personable. Organized. Someone who sees an empty night on the forecast and immediately starts thinking: “Who can I find to fill those rooms?” You should be comfortable picking up the phone, walking into a business, asking for the meeting, following up more than once, and hearing “no” without losing momentum. Hotel sales experience is valuable, but equally important is a proven ability and desire to SELL. We aren't looking for someone to simply manage the business that comes through the door. We're looking for someone who will go out and FIND it.
