Agency Overview: The Ohio Attorney General's Office has played a vital role in shaping Ohio's past and present and the work it does today helps chart the state's future. The office consists of nearly 30 distinct sections that advocate for consumers and victims of crime, assist the criminal justice community, provide legal counsel for state offices and agencies, and enforce certain state laws. In these and other capacities, staff members interact with tens of thousands of Ohioans each year.

Job Description

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking an Assistant Attorney General in the Transportation Unit of the Executive Agencies Section. The successful candidate's primary duties include representing the Ohio Department of Transportation in appropriation proceedings throughout Ohio, and providing advice on other legal issues. Real estate, land use/zoning or environmental experience is preferred but not required. The selected candidate must possess excellent written and oral advocacy skills. Previous litigation experience is preferred but not required. This position will work a hybrid schedule and is headquartered in the Columbus office. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. Some travel within the state will be required at times.
