Line Cook

Description Char & Lemon located in the heart of Oxford, CT is looking for a seasoned, professional line cook, who wants to grow with our team. You must be able to maintain a positive work atmosphere and work well in high-pressure situations. As a line cook, you will be committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift. Strong knife skills and experience on the Sauté station are preferred. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients to support efficient meal preparation Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and presentation standards Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours Maintain proper food handling procedures, including storage, rotation, and waste management to minimize spoilage and ensure freshness Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety #J-18808-Ljbffr Ontario Trillium Foundation
