Customer Team Leader (CTL) – Field-based sales management role for the Washington, D.C. – Maryland District (Washington D.C., Baltimore, Silver Spring, Hyattsville, Rockville) Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Customer Representatives to deliver strong sales performance by identifying and addressing customer needs. Provide coaching and guidance to enhance representatives’ skills and effectiveness. Oversee training programs and manage people‑related processes to ensure continuous development and optimal resource allocation. Develop and maintain a high‑performing customer team aligned to organizational goals and customer expectations. Travel at least 15% to support team and customer engagement activities (occasional overnight stays). Qualifications and Attributes Ability to build a high‑performing, motivated sales team culture (preferably Cardiovascular therapeutic area). Strong leadership using situational coaching and emotional intelligence; growth mindset and ability to foster trust during transitions. Communicate clearly and adapt customer engagement models in the Cardiovascular market. Customer‑focused mindset; listen to understand objectives and build relationships. Expertise in account planning and management; collaborate cross‑functionally. Experience building relationships with key accounts/customers in the Cardiovascular sector. Solid Rx Pathways knowledge (prescription processes, EHR, pharmacies, benefit design, prior authorization). Coaching experience in Managed Care; partner with IDNs and Account Management teams. Track record leading successful product launch teams in competitive markets. Use business analytics/technology to generate insights and coach teams. Required Skills / Experience BA/BS plus minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, or Managed Care within the Pharmaceutical industry. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Skills / Experience MBA or MS in Science, Business, or Healthcare. 3+ years working with key thought leaders/influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care. Field Sales Management experience; prior leadership of successful sales teams (preferably Cardiovascular). Strong analytical mindset; experience leveraging tools/technology for customer insights.
