Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and complex clinical laboratory assessmentsranging from chemistry to hematology and immunologyfollowing established protocols.
• Evaluate results for precision, rectify discrepancies, and perform regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Support with specimen collection and meticulously prepare samples for subsequent testing as needed.
• Meticulously document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and assist in maintaining rigorous laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a tidy, secure work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Professional Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be acquired within one year of employment.
• Continuous maintenance of current certification throughout your tenure.
