RN Clinical Nurse II- Critical Response Team (CRT)

Description The Critical Response Team (CRT) RN role utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to coordinate, delegate and provide safe therapeutic nursing care to patients throughout the hospital. As an emergency responder, this nurse will respond (along with the appropriate teams) to Rapid Response, Code Blue, Code Stroke, Code Sepsis, Code STEMI, and CRT RN consults with a primary function of collaborating with other disciplines and to provide high quality patient care. Responsibilities promoting effective team interactions facilitating timely assessment and disposition transfer of the patient between levels of care additional responsibilities to promote optimal patient outcomes Minimum of 2 years ICU experience ACLS certification CCRN (or willing to obtain within 1 year of hire) Charge RN experience Additional responsibilities include coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting, ensuring continuity of care, and promoting cost‑effective care. Education Requirements Graduation from a school of professional nursing If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date Licensure/Certification Requirements Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification Professional Experience Requirements One (1) year of nursing experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements Required knowledge and skills are not listed in this posting.
