Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their mental health status and specific needs.

• Developing individualized treatment plans that may incorporate various therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and interpersonal therapy.

• Meeting regularly with clients to monitor their progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide them with tools to manage their conditions effectively.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an inclusive and safe space for participants to share and support one another.

• Offering referrals to other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists or substance abuse specialists, when needed to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, and eating disorders. Our patients vary in age, background, and treatment needs, requiring a sensitive and adaptable approach to counseling. Understanding cultural nuances and maintaining respect for each person's unique experiences is essential for effective therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of related experience in mental health counseling along with a solid understanding of mental health disorders.

• Experience in delivering evidence-based individual and group therapy while maintaining cultural competence in treatment.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and the capability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will have:

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to efficiently manage client records and track progress.

• Demonstrable ability to build rapport with diverse clients, establishing trusting relationships that facilitate effective therapy.

• Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic client care.

Compensation and Benefits
