Manufacturing Technician I — Kitting & General Manufacturing

Location: Waukesha, WI
Pay: $19–$20/hour
Job Type: Contract

Job Summary
We are seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Technician I to support kitting, cable assembly, and general manufacturing operations. This role involves following work instructions, assembling components, packaging kits, and operating basic production equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cable components, connectors, and other parts according to work instructions.

• Measure and cut materials to specified lengths.

• Perform basic kitting, packaging, labeling, and bagging of materials.

• Operate production equipment, including wire marking and material bagging machines, after training.

• Apply labels, ties, and shrink tubing as needed.

• Read and follow work orders, diagrams, and production instructions.

• Complete production paperwork and quality checks accurately.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Work with team members to meet production goals and changing priorities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply; manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.

• Basic English communication skills.

• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Dependable work ethic and willingness to learn.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour
