Position Summary: The Patient Service and Authorization Coordinator coordinates activities and all administrative tasks for patients and their designated physicians. This position requires initial and follow-up care coordination within a multifaceted clinical office. The candidate must regularly contact patients, patient families, physicians, insurance companies, and third-party insurance companies related to patient care. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of two-year work experience in a medical office Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology required Comprehensive knowledge of insurance terminology and insurance plans required Customer service skills required Computer and Technology Skills required Organizational Skills and proofreading skills required Demonstrated ability for self-direction, initiation, and handling of multiple tasks required Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team required Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm - Monday - Friday Salary Range: Minimum 18.00/hour - Maximum 23.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
