Now Hiring: Kitchen Supervisor
Join Our Team at Our Assisted Living Community!
We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and hands-on Kitchen Supervisor to lead our dietary team in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to our residents. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading others, maintaining high standards, and creating a welcoming dining experience for seniors.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, develop, and implement nutritious, appealing menus that meet residents' dietary needs.
- Update and rotate menus seasonally to provide variety and fresh offerings.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and support all kitchen staff ensuring schedule is adequately covered.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Manage food ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Maintain food and labor costs while operating within the department budget.
- Prepare meals and assist with food production as needed.
- Cover kitchen shifts when staffing shortages occur to ensure uninterrupted meal service.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Work collaboratively with administration and nursing staff to meet residents' nutritional needs and accommodate special diets.
- Previous supervisory experience in a commercial kitchen, healthcare, senior living, or food service environment preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to multitask, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to lead by example.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed to support the team.
