Job Title: 1st Shift Assembler

Job Description

The 1st Shift Assembler plays a key role in building conveyor systems from start to finish in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. You work as part of a small, collaborative team to perform mechanical and electrical assembly using hand and power tools. This is a hands-on role that requires comfort with standing for extended periods and a strong commitment to reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble conveyor systems and sub-assemblies from start to finish as part of a production team.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools.
• Work on an assembly line to build and install components according to established procedures.
• Use basic measuring tools, such as tape measures, to ensure accurate assembly and fit.
• Conduct visual inspection of parts and assemblies to verify quality and proper installation.
• Follow all work instructions and safety guidelines without relying on blueprint reading.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area within the production facility.
• Stand and perform assembly tasks for 8–10 hours per day as required by the shift.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors on the floor to complete daily production goals.
• Report any issues with parts, tools, or equipment promptly to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of assembly or manufacturing experience in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly work.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanical assembly processes.
• Ability to perform electrical assembly tasks following provided instructions.
• Comfort with standing for 8–10 hours per day during the shift.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools, including tape measures, to verify dimensions.
• Strong reliability, with consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively on an assembly line and within a small team.
• Attention to detail for inspection and quality checks during the assembly process.
• Willingness to follow established procedures without blueprint reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• General production experience in a manufacturing or assembly setting.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and inspection of components.
• Comfort working in a climate-controlled facility with structured hours and no overtime.
• Positive character and strong work ethic, with a focus on teamwork and dependability.
• Willingness to learn new tasks through hands-on training provided on the floor.
• Ability to fit well within a small, laid-back team environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a new, clean, and organized production facility that is fully climate controlled, ensuring a comfortable temperature in all seasons. You work Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no overtime required, providing a stable and predictable schedule. The environment is laid back and team-oriented, with a small group of coworkers and a supervisor who remains on the floor to provide hands-on support and training. Work is performed on the assembly line and in designated production areas, where you will stand for extended periods while using hand and power tools to assemble conveyor systems. Pay starts at $22/hr

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, WI.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Clinton,WI.
