Head of Payroll (North America)

LGC Group seeks an experienced payroll leader to oversee US and Canadian payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments while maintaining regulatory compliance. The role involves managing payroll transactions, coordinating with external vendors, and collaborating with HR and finance teams to streamline processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll account transactions including salaries, benefits, deductions, and tax settlements
• Oversee timekeeping and payroll systems coordination and process changes
• Ensure compliance with federal, local, and state payroll laws and internal policies
• Maintain vendor relationships and manage payroll audits with external auditors
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams on payroll-related issues and reporting

Requirements

• Proven experience as payroll manager or equivalent role
• Deep knowledge of US and multi-location payroll procedures and tax regulations
• Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS platforms such as SAP, ADP, or Kronos
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and advanced Excel competency
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field
• Professional certification such as CPP or CPM preferred
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
