Shift Information: All shifts available.

Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year of relevant experience required.

Certifications/Requirements:

• Current BLS or BCLS certification.
• CA licensed nurse with good physical and mental health.

Specific Competencies:

• Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on patient needs; report abnormalities to the Charge Nurse and MD.
• Develop patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Perform prescribed treatments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete tasks with precision, such as EKGs, blood draws, and IV starts; maintain a clean work area.
• Educate patients and families on care plans.
• Administer and document medications according to policy, ensuring correct and adequate supplies.
• Document patient assessments and responses to interventions accurately.
• Initiate appropriate emergency resuscitation measures and document actions taken.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide care in a non-judgmental manner.
• Report patient conditions to the appropriate personnel during each shift.
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols in patient care delivery.
• Assist nursing staff in other departments as requested and qualified.
• Perform nursing procedures according to established protocols, ensuring safety and effectiveness.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Facilitate smooth patient transfers for procedures or diagnostic tests as required.
• Assist in training new personnel and participate in staff education as needed.
• Assume professional responsibility to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
• Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and ensure timely response to call lights.
• Complete other nursing management duties as assigned.
