Consumers Credit Union is looking to hire a passionate Member Service Representative Intern. As an MSR Intern, you will provide superior member service and sales to enhance membership and exceed member expectations at our Riley and Grand Haven offices. You will assist members with basic financial questions and concerns and open new accounts and handle loans. Our ideal candidate has a great attitude, is genuine and passionate. You are purposeful and like to be the solution, but more importantly, you are a servant leader. What you will do:

1. Learn about individual sales goals.
2. Assist with credit union products and services.
3. Identify potential referral opportunities under supervision.
4. Maintain a positive attitude, provide good service and follow up to members and co-workers with guidance.
5. Respond to basic member communications and inquiries in a timely manner, with supervisor support when needed.
6. Learn techniques for handling difficult member situations and resolving basic member concerns.
7. Shadow and assist with opening new accounts for members.
8. Observe IRA account processes and transactions.
9. Learn to demonstrate Online Banking and Bill Payer features to members.
10. Assist with Debit cards, payroll direct deposit, and disbursement requests under supervision.
11. Support the loan application process by gathering documentation and learning about loan requirements.
12. Observe the loan approval process and documentation procedures.
13. Learn to use the Customer Relationship Management system for basic documentation and follow-up activities.
14. Develop basic knowledge of business services, accounts, and transactions.
15. Observe the process of establishing business account relationships.
16. Develop decision-making skills by observing and participating in guided membership interactions.
