JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a CNC OPERATOR in WELLFORD, SC . Our client is a SUCCESSFUL TOOL COMPANY . The CNC OPERATOR is responsible FOR SETTING UP AND OPERATING ALL MACHINES IN THE CNC MILLING MACHINE SHOP TO PRODUCE PARTS NEEDED ACCORDING TO SPECS..

Requires 2+ years' experience operating CNC milling machines such as HAAS, OKK, etc

Schedule: 1st shift - (6am-3pm Monday-Thursday) (6am-12pm Friday)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Machine Setup and Operation: Prepare and calibrate CNC machines, select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters, and input correct program settings to meet production specifications.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions, perform routine maintenance, and adjust machine settings to prevent production delays.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards, making adjustments as necessary.
• Collaboration and Training: Work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel, and may train operators on machine operation and safety protocols.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of machine setups, production runs, maintenance, and quality checks

QUALIFICATIONS
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of CNC machinery, G-Code and M-Code proficiency.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues, select tools, and understand machining processes.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in setup, calibration, and inspection to ensure high-quality output
• Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve equipment issues efficiently and adapt to new CNC technologies.
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with specialized training in CNC machining or manufacturing technology; prior experience in CNC setup or operation is highly desirable.

SAFETY / HOUSEKEEPING
•
Always work in a safe manner and ensure co-workers do the same
•
Operate forklift in a safe manner as learned in forklift training course
•
Use all safety attire/equipment as needed to complete the job
•
Maintain a neat and orderly work area, including floor space, shelving and work stations
•
Maintain all tools and equipment in clean, working condition
•
Report any defective tools or equipment to the Shop Supervisor for repair or replacement
Work Environment
• Typically, in a manufacturing or industrial setting, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
• May require standing for long periods and handling precision tools and equipment. Career Path and Advancement
• CNC Setup Technicians can advance to roles such as CNC Programmer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Production Supervisor.
