Regional Director Location: Barnabas Health Medical Group – 95 OLD SHORT HILLS ROAD, WEST ORANGE, NJ 07052 Employment Type: Full‑Time (Salaried), Day Shift Pay Range: $144,483.00 – $209,501.00 per year (New Jersey) Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The Regional Director reports to the Vice President of Primary Care for their assigned territory and is responsible for upholding these principles across a portfolio of assigned practice sites. The role ensures that Regional Managers and practice sites provide a safe and compassionate experience for patients and families, and a supportive, productive environment for providers and staff. Key responsibilities include operational integration of acquired provider practices, opening of new or renovated sites, development of annual operating budgets, strategic planning, and clinical integration throughout the region. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field Minimum of five years’ experience in a progressively responsible clinic administrator position Physician practice management experience Experience managing multiple Surgical and Medical Specialty Practices Excellent oral/written communication skills Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of management, physicians, clinicians, support staff and customers Strong process improvement and financial management expertise Master’s Degree (preferred) Membership in the MGMA and ACMPE or ACC (preferred) Essential Functions Operational advisor/supporter – provide guidance to Regional Managers and practice site providers and management on all aspects of operations and patient care delivery; implement performance goals, long‑term objectives and strategy; visit all sites regularly. Manage adherence to clinic regulations and policies; monitor changes to operating procedures and assist with development and implementation. Analyze workflow efficiency and implement improvements; monitor patient access, volumes and labor productivity; adjust staffing to maximize revenue and efficiency. Lead quality improvement initiatives; develop, monitor and evaluate programs; implement new clinical programs and services. Act as interim Regional Manager when necessary, overseeing education, HR, operations, patient care, finance, quality and safety. Assist with compliance to local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification. Coordinate special projects and marketing with the Regional Vice President; analyze data to optimize resource use; prepare annual budgets; monitor budget performance; assist in staffing decisions; ensure patient satisfaction meets targeted goals. Oversee facilities management, maintenance and upkeep of practice sites; ensure safety regulation compliance and space needs. Delegate authority and responsibility to the management team; develop improved management techniques. Align practice culture with continuous improvement; coach and develop practice managers and supervisors. Empower staff and managers through education and skill development; collaborate with Service Line to develop onboarding programs for primary care providers. Develop action plans for practices with high staff and provider turnover. Implement leadership rounding and work closely with physician leaders in dyad structures. Develop incentives for regional managers that align with Service Line metrics and overarching health system goals. Perform other duties as assigned.
