Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for a group of patients during a designated night shift, using the nursing process to plan and implement care aligned with the medical plan of care and patient input.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer prescribed interventions, and collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Support a patient population across ages as appropriate to the assigned unit, incorporating teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care.
- Delegate applicable tasks to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate changes in patient status to the care team; assist with discharge teaching and planning as needed.
- This position is represented by CNA, with responsibilities aligned to standard nursing practice within the unit.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (California) or eligibility per standard travel requirements.
- Oncology nursing experience or demonstrated competency in caring for oncology patients is preferred.
- Ability to work the night shift (3x12 hours) and provide care in a hospital setting.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills; ability to coordinate care with physicians and other team members.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or equivalent credentialed provider status.
