We're looking for an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead a busy, established family-dining restaurant in Hampton, Virginia.


This is a great fit for a hands-on leader who knows how to build a strong team, create a consistently great guest experience, and keep operations running smoothly. The Role


As General Manager, you'll take ownership of the restaurant's day-to-day performance while creating a workplace where both employees and guests want to come back.


You'll be responsible for:

• Leading daily FOH and BOH operations with a visible, hands-on management style
• Hiring, training, coaching, and developing a strong restaurant team
• Creating clear expectations, accountability, and a positive workplace culture
• Maintaining high standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality
• Managing scheduling, labor, productivity, and operating costs
• Overseeing inventory, ordering, vendors, and cost controls
• Maintaining food safety, health, alcohol, and operational compliance
• Resolving guest concerns professionally and protecting the overall guest experience
• Monitoring sales, labor, COGS, and other key performance metrics
• Identifying opportunities to improve restaurant performance
• Supporting local marketing, promotions, and community engagement

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience; GM or AGM experience preferred
• A proven ability to lead, coach, and retain restaurant teams
• Strong understanding of labor management, inventory, food costs, food safety, and guest service
• Confidence managing both people and restaurant performance
• Ability to coach in the moment, hold people accountable, and maintain a steady leadership presence
• Comfortable using POS systems and reviewing basic operational reports
• High level of reliability, integrity, and ownership
• ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain quickly

Schedule


Primarily day shift


Weekend availability will be required based on business needs.
