Quality Inspector – Aviation Component Repair Industry: Aviation / Aerospace Component MRO Job Type: Direct Hire Location: Louisville, KY Pay Rate: DOE, with quick advancement opportunities Available Shift: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Snelling has an immediate opening for a Quality Inspector with an established aviation company in the Louisville, KY area. This position is responsible for verifying that repaired and fabricated aircraft components meet exacting industry, customer, and regulatory standards before they leave the facility. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, strong documentation habits, and the ability to hold the line on quality in a fast-paced aerospace repair environment.

Job Duties

• Inspect machined, fabricated, and repaired components against blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools
• Review and maintain inspection records, certifications, and quality documentation
• Identify and document nonconformances; work with production staff to resolve discrepancies
• Verify materials, processes, and finished parts comply with applicable industry and regulatory standards
• Support internal and customer audits as needed
• Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment

Quality Inspector Requirements

• Prior experience in quality inspection, preferably in an aviation, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environment
• Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Familiarity with quality systems and documentation practices
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
