Accounting Specialist - Law Firm

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist with 3-5 years of experience in law firm accounting to join our legal practice. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting fundamentals and excellent interpersonal skills to support our finance operations. Key Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Handle client billing and light collections activities Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations Execute special projects and work requests as directed by the Finance Director Ensure compliance with standard accounting practices and procedures Support month-end and year-end closing processes Assist with financial reporting and analysis as needed Required Qualifications Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in: Accounts Payable (A/P) Accounts Receivable (A/R) Client billing processes Light collections Strong working knowledge of General Ledger operations Solid understanding of standard accounting practices and principles Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level) Working knowledge of Microsoft Word Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Professional demeanor and discretion when handling confidential information Adaptability and willingness to take on varied assignments Problem-solving capabilities and proactive approach to work Preferred Qualifications Experience with TABS legal software Familiarity with other legal practice management software Background working in professional services or legal environment Knowledge of legal billing practices and requirements What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Collaborative work environment Opportunity to grow within an established legal practice Dyer Bregman & Ferris, PLLC Attorneys at Law #J-18808-Ljbffr Dbfazlaw
