Electronic Systems Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level or Lead) The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring Electronic Systems Engineers for the 787 team located in North Charleston, South Carolina. As a member of the team, you will develop and support electronic and electrical system components in a sustaining production environment. Project examples include addressing design obsolescence, developing product improvements, supporting production build and test, supporting new customer introduction, and supporting the in-service fleet. Position Responsibilities Associate (Level 2) Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Mid-Level (Level 3) & Lead (Level 4) Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry. 2 or more years' related work experience. Preferred Qualifications Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. ABET accredited degree. 1+ years of experience with airplane systems. Experience with DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware Development & Qualification. Experience with DO-297 Integrated Modular Avionics Development & Qualification. Experience with ARP-4754 Systems Development & Qualification. Experience with DO-178 Airborne Software Development & Qualification.
