Job Description

This role supports the Assembly department by operating processing and packaging equipment, handling raw materials, and performing in-process testing to ensure that all batches meet quality and regulatory standards. The position follows established procedures and standard operating practices while working with semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate processing and packaging equipment, including balances, labelers, band sealers, pumps, filtration systems, and other packaging machinery.
• Weigh, measure, and verify raw materials using a computer interface to ensure that each batch contains the correct materials and quantities.
• Calibrate and operate semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Perform in-process sampling and testing to confirm that batches meet defined specifications and quality standards.
• Comply with all company safety regulations, procedures, and safe work practices at all times.
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safe practices while performing daily tasks.
• Complete and maintain accurate Quality Records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain equipment and lab or production rooms to ensure proper operating conditions, cleanliness, and organization.
• Identify and review relevant factors when analyzing production issues and apply defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
• Work on recurring production tasks that may involve a moderate degree of complexity and occasional variations from standard situations.
• Exercise sound judgment within established guidelines to resolve routine problems and escalate more complex issues as needed.
• Receive and follow general instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new or unfamiliar assignments.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned to support production, assembly, packaging, and general labor needs.

Essential Skills

• Ability to operate processing and packaging equipment such as balances, labelers, band sealers, pumps, filtration systems, and related machinery.
• Ability to weigh, measure, and check raw materials using a computer interface to ensure correct materials and quantities.
• Experience calibrating and operating semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Capability to perform in-process sampling and testing to verify that batches meet specifications.
• Strong adherence to safety regulations, safe practices, and company procedures.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Skill in completing and maintaining accurate Quality Records in compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
• Ability to maintain equipment and production or lab areas to meet cleanliness and operational standards.
• Capacity to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
• Ability to work effectively in recurring work situations with occasional variations and moderate complexity.
• Attention to detail to minimize errors that could result in significant interpretive issues in production or quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in assembly, packaging, manufacturing, production, or general labor environments.
• Comfort working with computer interfaces to support weighing, measuring, and recording production data.
• Ability to adapt to new assignments and follow detailed instructions for unfamiliar tasks.
• Willingness to perform other related duties as needed to support the broader production team.

The environment emphasizes accuracy and care, as mistakes could lead to significant interpretive errors in production or quality records.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of EUGENE, OR.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
