Registered Nurse - NICU

$2549.84/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Deliver advanced clinical interventions and coordinate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes for critically ill newborns. Responsibilities: Assess and monitor the health status of neonatal patients, including those requiring surgical interventions and respiratory support. Administer medications, treatments, and respiratory therapies using all modes of ventilation as required. Perform line insertions such as PICC and facilitate diagnostic procedures, including bronchoscopy, LISA, VCUG, MRI, and swallow studies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans. Document patient progress accurately and ensure compliance with unit policies and protocols. Maintain proficiency in all required certifications and ensure timely completion of mandatory training modules. Qualifications: Hold a valid California RN license, verified through Nursys within the last two weeks. Possess at least 2 years of NICU experience, with specific skills in surgical and respiratory care. Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications, with valid expiration dates. Demonstrate proficiency in line insertions, ventilation management, and diagnostic procedures. Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a rotating schedule, with no call required. Adhere to travel compliance requirements, including submission of applicable certifications and references.
