Job Description & Requirements Specialty: SICU - Surgical Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – SICU | Ochsner Medical Center Location: New Orleans, LA Start Date: 09/14/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights | 6:45 PM–7:15 AM | 3×12s or 4×12s Patient Ratio: 1:2 | Self-scheduling | Every other weekend Requirements Minimum 2 years of SICU/ICU experience Hard stop: Transplant experience required — liver, heart, lung, kidney/pancreas Post-cardiac surgery experience directly from OR required Previous travel experience required Epic experience required Experience with CRRT/CVVHD ACLS, BLS & NIHSS required Experience with IABP, PA catheters/Swan-Ganz and ventilated patients preferred Must be willing to float to other ICUs/SDUs No block scheduling Compliance Must live 65 miles from the facility; local travelers not accepted Compact or Louisiana RN license required at submission AHA certifications required NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and be within 4 weeks RTO must be listed on profile and discussed during interview Two manager/supervisor references required before clearance; Charge RN references not accepted No call-in About Prime Staffing At Prime Staffing, we understand the importance of finding the perfect fit for both our clients and candidates.
