Inpatient Pharmacist | Chicago, Illinois

This opportunity is for a pharmacist with recent inpatient experience to provide pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting. The role involves working with a well-known medical center in Chicago and includes a mix of day and evening shifts with rotating weekends over a 13-week contract period.


Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct typical inpatient pharmacy duties, including medication verification and checking.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Perform IV medication validations accurately and promptly.
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and medication order processing.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting.
• Licensed pharmacist with an active Illinois state license.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system is required.

Schedule:

• Mix of day and evening shifts.
• Rotating weekends included.
