The AP Control COE Center Analyst is responsible for providing financial control oversight and governance for the Global AP Control COE in North America, on Accounts Payables (AP), T&E and PCard financial reporting and control processes. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting related to AP, T&E and PCard processes, oversees balance sheet and period close activities, and maintains a strong internal control environment, including SOX compliance.

A key responsibility of the role is to act as a key business partner to the Requisition-to-Pay (R2P) / Accounts Payable operations team, providing guidance on non-routine and complex transactions. The AP Control COE Center Assoc Manager assesses financial and control risks, determines appropriate accounting treatment, and recommends mitigating actions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee Vendor Supply Chain Finance program performance through various monitoring tools, ensuring operational and compliance goals are met. Review and approve funding reconciliations ensuring alignment between program balances and amounts owed bank partners, and ensuring proper and timely payments.
2. Lead and drive root cause analysis on unusual or recurring issues, proactively implement process improvement and/or remediation needs in an accurate and timely manner. Partner with all North America Supply Chain, Finance and Control functions to drive issue resolution.
3. Participate in period-end close activities, including review and approval of Journal entries and adjustments related to AP, T&E and PCard transactions
4. Provide accounting guidance for complex or non-routine transactions, assess financial reporting implications and determine the appropriate accounting treatment in alignment with PepsiCo accounting policies and applicable standards.
5. Own and maintain Financial and SOX controls related to the AP, T&E and PCard processes and financial reporting, ensuring controls are properly designed, documented. Monitor the effectiveness of the control environment and drive remediation actions when gaps are identified. Support continuous improvement of controls and processes to strengthen compliance and efficiency.
6. Serve as a key advisor to the R2P / AP operations team on financial control matters. Provide proactive guidance on risk identification, control considerations, and accounting implications for operational decisions.
7. Collaborate with Finance, Controllership, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with financial reporting requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The expected compensation range for this position is between $73,400 - $122,850.
• Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
• Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Master's Degree preferred)
• CPA. Public accounting experience is considered a plus
• 3+ years of experience and strong knowledge of financial controls, accounting principles and financial reporting
• Deep understanding of Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay processes
• Experience with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks
• Ability to assess complex transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with Shared Service Centers
• Ability to influence others and collaborate with operational teams and senior finance stakeholders
• Strong communication and documentation skills
