Position Overview

As a Chemical Operator, you'll play a critical role in safely manufacturing chemical products while ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with GMP and OSHA standards. This is a hands-on position where you'll work with reactors, pumps, tanks, raw materials, and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

No advanced chemistry knowledge is required. We're looking for individuals with some manufacturing or chemical experience who are eager to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate reactors, pumps, tanks, and other production equipment
• Weigh, verify, and charge raw materials into production vessels
• Monitor manufacturing processes and adjust equipment as needed
• Transfer finished products into storage tanks and containers
• Complete batch documentation and production records accurately
• Follow GMP, FDA, OSHA, and company safety procedures
• Assist with product quality checks and process improvements
• Operate forklifts, lifts, and material handling equipment
• Help maintain inventory levels and production supplies
• Support chemists and engineers with manufacturing activities
• Maintain clean and organized work areas

What We're Looking For

• Some experience in chemical manufacturing, batching, mixing, production, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or industrial operations
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour schedule
• Ability to work on your feet throughout the shift
• Comfortable lifting and moving materials as needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Self-motivated individual who takes initiative and enjoys learning

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience
• GMP experience
• Experience working with reactors, pumps, tanks, mixers, or production equipment
• Basic computer and math skills

Schedule

12-Hour Rotating Shift

• Alternating 36-hour and 48-hour workweeks
• Day and night shift rotation
• Consistent full-time hours
• Overtime opportunities available

Training Schedule (First 4-6 Weeks):

• Monday-Friday
• 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Paid training at starting rate

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Piedmont, SC.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
