Executive Director Of Clinical Outcomes

The Executive Director of Clinical Outcomes leads quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives at a healthcare organization in Newton, Kansas. The role reports to the Chief Clinical Officer and oversees QAPI, infection prevention, and performance improvement programs. This leadership position drives evidence-based initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide strategic leadership for quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance programs
2. Lead and oversee the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program to support continuous organizational improvement
3. Collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, clinical teams, and department leaders to achieve operational and clinical goals
4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards
5. Oversee departmental operations including staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and performance management
6. Analyze clinical and operational data to identify trends and implement initiatives that improve patient outcomes
7. Serve as a subject matter expert regarding healthcare regulations, policies, accreditation standards, and best practices
8. Foster a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement
9. Support organizational readiness for surveys, audits, and inspections
10. Drive evidence-based initiatives that enhance quality metrics and operational efficiency
11. Mentor and support leadership development among department managers and clinical staff

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Master's degree in Nursing or a comparable healthcare-related field
• Minimum of 3–5 years of hospital leadership experience

Preferred Skills:

• Strong background in healthcare quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, or clinical operations
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within an acute care or hospital environment
