Role Description

We are hiring a Store Manager to run daily operations at our Shelter Island location. This is a full-time, on-site role, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. No nights, weekends, or holidays. Pay is $24 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.

You will open and close the shop, serve walk-in and account customers at the counter, process sales and online orders through Shopify POS, and keep inventory accurate and stocked. You will also oversee the diver air-supply side of the business, supervising tank filling and coordinating the 1099 associates who assist with tank handling.

This role reports directly to the President and CEO. You will be the primary in-store point of contact for our professional diver accounts, boat yards, and wholesale customers, and the person who flags low stock and special orders to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, maintaining a clean and professional retail and wholesale environment
• Bill products and process orders accurately through Shopify POS
• Fill and ship online orders through Shopify
• Monitor inventory levels, track product movement, and report replenishment needs to the CEO
• Build and maintain relationships with professional divers, boat yards, yacht managers, and marine dealers
• Oversee the Drop-and-Go Tank Rotation Program and supervise tank filling for professional divers
• Manage and coordinate 1099 air-supply associates
• Enforce conduct, parking, and workflow rules to keep operations safe and moving

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, wholesale, warehouse, marine supply, or operational management

• Comfortable with Shopify POS or a similar point-of-sale and inventory system
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving shop environment
• Supervision or team-lead experience is a plus
• Marine industry experience is a plus, but we will train the right person on the product
• Reliable, punctual, and consistently professional
• High school diploma or equivalent
