This role provides an exciting opportunity to delve into the world of corporate tax returns, state and local tax, federal and state tax, tax preparation, tax planning, income tax, and S Corp. Responsibilities: Preparing and filing accurate and timely corporate tax returns and ensuring compliance with state and local tax laws. Conducting thorough reviews of income tax returns, identifying potential tax credits and liabilities, and ensuring accurate reporting. Developing and implementing effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize profitability for the company. Keeping abreast of federal and state tax laws and regulations and applying them appropriately to protect the company's financial interests. Providing expert advice on tax matters, including planning, compliance, and reporting for S Corps. Assisting in tax audits, responding to tax notices, and resolving tax disputes in a prompt and efficient manner. Collaborating with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support. Consulting with clients on business and tax issues, providing sound advice and solutions. Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in the Accounting + Finance industry. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is required. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures at the federal, state, and local levels. Proficiency in tax preparation and planning, corporate tax returns, and income tax. Experience with S Corp tax issues and solutions. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in simple terms. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
