Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour

CNC Lathe Machinist/Operator

FULL-TIME

Day Shift (7:00am-4:30 pm)

9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off)

JIMS Machining is an established company that has been machining for over 50 years. We have a progressive state-of-the-art manufacturing shop that is clean, with many different CNC machines (lathes, mills, broaches, gear hobs, hones, etc.). We pride ourselves on cross-training opportunities and a supportive team environment. We are currently looking to add skilled CNC Lathe Machinists to support our shop.

Responsibilities and Duties

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC lathe machines according to specifications and drawings.
• Read and interpret drawings and work instructions.
• Set/change tooling and make offsets as required.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure quality standards and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts by using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Perform routine/basic maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards in an ISO-9001 facility.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

Job Specifications:

• Minimum 2 years of CNC lathe experience (operator required; setup experience a plus)
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and follow work instructions.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and familiarity with G-code (a plus).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must possess a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
