Press Brake Operator

Press Brake Operator Sheet Metal I Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII) is seeking a Press Brake Operator Sheet Metal I responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of press brake machinery used to bend, form, and shape metal materials. This position requires a strong understanding of machine operations, metalworking, blueprint reading, and quality inspection to ensure parts are produced accurately, safely, and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal materials according to blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Select the appropriate tools, dies, and machine settings for each job. Measure and inspect completed workpieces using calipers to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements. Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and machine guarding. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Collaborate with production team members to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Identify and report defects or issues with materials, equipment, or processes to the appropriate supervisor. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in machine operation is preferred. 3 years previous experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and procedures. Basic math skills for measurements and machine setup calculations. Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
