Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides critical nursing care to patients in the emergency setting, managing acute medical situations with efficiency and compassion. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver prompt, high-quality care and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments of incoming emergency patients, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and diagnostic tests.
• Administer medications accurately, utilizing steady hand-eye coordination and good visual acuity.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality in all communications.
• Implement and modify patient care plans based on assessment findings under physician guidance.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt care to meet individual patient needs and backgrounds.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
• Hold or be eligible for a current New Hampshire RN license.
• Possess BLS certification; ACLS certification required.
• Have clinical experience in an emergency or acute care setting preferred.
• Show active membership in a professional nursing organization and specialty certification preferred.
