Entry-Level Assembler to Experienced Assembler

This entry-level assembler role involves building and assembling copper piping and rubber tubing for high-density liquid cooling products in a large manufacturing environment. You will use hand and power tools, follow blueprints to construct complex assemblies and mild steel enclosures, and learn brazing and grinding techniques while working both independently and as part of a team across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assemble copper piping and rubber tubing for high-density liquid cooling products according to specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete a variety of assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints to build more complex assemblies, including cooling systems and mild steel enclosures.
• Learn and perform brazing on copper piping under guidance and in accordance with quality standards.
• Grind and finish assembled products to meet required quality and appearance standards.
• Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a production team to meet daily output goals.
• Follow production, packaging, and general labor procedures as needed to support the manufacturing process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety guidelines at all times.
• Stand for the duration of the shift while working in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

• Experience using hand tools and power tools in a work or hobby setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for assembly work.
• Capability and willingness to stand throughout the entire shift in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong desire to enter and grow within the manufacturing industry.
• Comfort working with mechanical components and basic production tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work accurately with tools, parts, and assemblies.
• Comfort working in a non-temperature-controlled environment that can become warm in the summer.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ months of assembly experience is a plus.
• Prior experience in production, packaging, general labor, construction, or mechanical work is beneficial.
• Familiarity with working on a production line or in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Interest in learning brazing, grinding, and other metal fabrication-related skills.
• Motivation to cross-train in other departments such as warehouse or fabrication over time.
• Secondary education or training related to manufacturing or technical fields is considered an asset.

Work Environment

The role is based in a very large, high-speed manufacturing environment that is clean. Work is not on a traditional assembly line, but the pace remains fast and requires focus and stamina. You will stand for the majority, if not all, of your shift while performing assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools. Multiple shifts are available, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift options, providing flexibility in scheduling. The facility supports metal fabrication, assembly of high-density liquid cooling systems, and related production activities, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and teamwork.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $2285.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
