Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a setting that champions best practices and exceptional customer service. Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing is essential.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
• Engage in ongoing education to stay current with product and practice changes, applying knowledge to promote cost-effective care.
• Utilize specialized nursing expertise to assign patient care based on acuity and technical needs, fostering evidence-based practice improvements.
• Deliver outstanding guest relations to patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate proactively to manage expectations and ensure a positive patient experience through rounding, timely responses, and professional conduct.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise, appropriately using electronic devices, and supporting healthcare students and their programs.
• Prioritize safety for patients, guests, staff, and self by adhering to national safety standards, HIPAA, Just Culture principles, and reporting near misses.
• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to personal and professional growth through certifications, advanced degrees, and participation in shared governance.
• Foster teamwork by motivating and guiding colleagues, encouraging cooperation, and mentoring others to develop leadership skills.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in accelerated MSN programs accepted.
• Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and specialty credentials to be obtained and maintained.

Licensure:

Active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

Work Environment:

Full-time day shift position in a healthcare facility located in the Midwest region of the United States.
