Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a supportive environment that exemplifies best practices and outstanding customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, relevant Nurse Practice Acts, and regulatory agency standards. The position supports acute care departments including Medical, Surgery, Emergency, ICU, Childbirth, Pediatric, Operating Room, Perianesthesia, Endoscopy/GI, and Cardiac Cath Lab units.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
• Stay current with product and practice changes through ongoing education, applying knowledge to promote cost-effective care.
• Utilize specialized knowledge to make appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and technical needs.
• Demonstrate evidence-based practice to enhance workplace skills and patient outcomes.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills with patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate effectively to manage expectations and provide timely responses to patient needs.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and their programs.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications to be obtained and maintained as required.

Licensure:

• Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

Work Shift: Night shift, 36 hours weekly, with every third weekend scheduled.
