Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary: The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures within the cath lab environment. The role involves working closely with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care during complex procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and support coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and clinical standards.
• Prepare and assess cath lab equipment and supplies prior to procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient care during interventions to ensure safety and comfort.
• Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records using EPIC.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow efficiency and adhere to scheduling requirements.
• Adhere to radiation safety policies, including proper use and management of radiation badges.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of recent cath lab experience.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS certification; SC license (SCRQSA) required.
• Proficient in coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures, including scrub and monitor roles.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient monitoring, and clinical protocols.
• Ability to work a 4x10-hour day shift with flexibility for on-call and holiday coverage.
