Digital Intelligence Systems (DISYS) has been engaged to find a talented Senior Java/J2EE Developer for a foremost Healthcare’s IT Group that is located close to public transit in Oakland, California.

Candidates who currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area will be considered for this multi-year engagement.

We are seeking a highly motivated professional who offers strong hands-on Java development experiences, well-developed organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Profile

• A highly motivated professional, offering well-developed organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Strong understanding of Java and JEE internals (Class Loading, Memory Management, Threads, Transaction management).
• Designing and developing user interfaces using AngularJS best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL, primarily MS SQL Server.
• Solid working experience in using Docker, Kubernetes, Git and TeamCity.
• Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize projects with high pressure deadlines.
• Able to work equally well independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and support web applications and other technology solutions.
• Work with infrastructure and support teams to achieve smooth handoff of responsibility running production system.
• Adhere to development and security standards.

Experience

• Solid (8 -10years) Java programming experience.
• Solid object-oriented programming and design skills.
• Experiences in Scala and DSL are a big plus.
• Experience with XML/XSD/XSLT, SOA.
• Experience with SQL Server, Tomcat, RH Linux.
• Solid experience with full application development life cycle.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Health Care domain knowledge a plus.

Education

• BS or equivalent in Engineering or related technical area.
• Master’s degree preferred.
