Our mission is simple: to help employees better understand their health and support healthier workplaces./ppThe Healthcare Revenue Cycle Accounting Specialist plays a central role in the financial health of our organization. This is a dual-function position requiring both high-volume medical claims expertise and accounting proficiency. You will be responsible for accurate, timely claims submission across our biometric screening and health wellness service lines, while also supporting core accounting functions including reconciliations, accounts receivable, and financial reporting./ppThis role is well-suited for a detail-driven professional who thrives in a structured, process-oriented environment and takes genuine satisfaction in both the precision of financial work and the mission of helping people live healthier lives./ppThis role will be based out of our corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA./ppWhat Youll Do/ppClaims Revenue Cycle (approximately 50%)/pulliSubmit and manage high-volume medical claims across commercial, employer-sponsored, and direct payers/liliVerify participant and employer group eligibility prior to service delivery/liliMonitor claim status, follow up on unpaid or rejected claims, and manage denials and appeals through resolution/liliEnsure accurate application of CPT and HCPCS codes specific to biometric screening and wellness services/liliMaintain compliance with payer-specific billing rules, timely filing deadlines, and regulatory requirements/liliReconcile claim submission data against remittance advice and payment postings/li/ulpAccounting Finance (approximately 50%)/pulliProcess and reconcile accounts receivable, including client invoicing and payment application/liliAssist with month-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations/liliPrepare and distribute aging reports; escalate outstanding balances per established protocols/liliSupport financial reporting by maintaining accurate records in accounting software/liliCollaborate with the finance team on audits, compliance documentation, and process improvements/liliIdentify billing or accounting discrepancies and resolve or escalate appropriately/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulpWhat Were Looking For/ppRequired Qualifications/pulli24 years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle, or a hybrid billing/accounting role/liliDemonstrated experience processing high-volume claims in a healthcare or health services environment/liliWorking knowledge of CPT coding; biometric screening or wellness billing experience a strong plus/liliProficiency with billing software (Health Pac, Availity) and accounting platforms (QuickBooks)/liliSolid understanding of accounts receivable processes, month-end close, and basic financial reporting/liliAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data reconciliation)/liliStrong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy at volume/liliExcellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines during peak periods/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliExperience in occupational health, corporate wellness, health plan administration, or ancillary healthcare services/liliAAPC certification (CPC, CPB) or equivalent credential/liliAssociates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Health Information Management, Business, or related field/liliFamiliarity with employer group billing and self-funded plan structures/li/ulpWhat to Expect in This Role/pulliThis is a high-volume environment. You will process a significant number of claims daily and must be comfortable maintaining accuracy at pace./liliOur biometric screening business follows seasonal cycles fall months are our busiest period. We support our team through peak seasons with hybrid work environments if proven capable of maintaining accuracy./liliYou will regularly switch contexts between claims tasks and accounting responsibilities.
