Engineering Lab Technician

Technician PositionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced technician responsible for test equipment setup, tear down, maintenance, data collection, and logistics. The role requires ensuring the engineering service request operates reliably and satisfies the customer's end-use requirements. Experience in customer interaction and management is essential.Required Skills & Qualifications:Self-motivated and accountable in a fast-paced, independent environmentCreative and methodical thinking regarding technical issuesPrompt response to customer inquiries and effective issue resolutionStrong troubleshooting, critical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skillsAbility to multitask, manage time, prioritize, and work unsupervisedBasic understanding of electronics and lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, signal generator, signal analyzer)Basic understanding of MS Office, PDFs, and ability to read schematics, BOM, and documentationPrior work experience in a related industryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Responsible for test board and equipment setup, tear down, maintenance, data collection, and logisticsMaintain lab standards for safety, cleanliness, and organizationDeploy and troubleshoot test boards running automated testsRemove and redeploy test board setups regularlyCollect data for critical lab metrics and track progressPerform test equipment inventory, calibration, and maintenanceConfigure electro-mechanical component installations using BOM, drawings, and schematicsPerform electro-mechanical repair and troubleshoot wiringCommunicate effectively and recommend documentation changesPerform self-inspection according to checklistsIdentify and document problems, bringing them to the supervisor's attentionCheck equipment for calibration status and expired materialsFollow ESD and general housekeeping proceduresCompany Benefits & Culture:Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchOpportunities for professional development and growth
