About the Position

Job Title

MRI Technologist – Weekday Overnight

Location

New York, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Onsite | Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM | 17-Week Assignment | Holidays and on-call/callback per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment efficiently and maintain a clean, safe scanning environment
• Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort throughout the process
• Coordinate with physicians to facilitate diagnostic imaging and ensure timely delivery of results
• Insert IVs when required for testing procedures
• Document all procedures accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information
• Perform patient care tasks as needed per unit requirements

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Radiology, or a related field
• Minimum of two (2) years of MRI Technologist experience
• ARRT certification (MRI or Radiologic Technology) required
• GE scanner experience required to be considered
• Injection certification required to be considered
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• NYS Radiologic Technology license required; candidates must be willing to obtain if not already held upon starting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level 1 Trauma Center experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology and radiology workflows
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work effectively in a fast-paced overnight environment
