Program Specialist

The Program Specialist will support the coordination, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Office of Autism Services (OAS) program activities. The role is responsible for ensuring provider compliance with reporting requirements, delivering technical assistance on data systems, and supporting data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts. This position also contributes to the development and maintenance of program resources, including directories, dashboards, and written materials. The role works closely with internal teams and external partners to support efficient operations. This is a salaried position scheduled to work 34 hours per week within the business hours of Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. This position is located in Jefferson City, Missouri. The base salary offered for this position is up to $47,363.04 annually, commensurate with education and experience. If the selected candidate is eligible for a pay differential, such as retention pay, the total salary may exceed what is listed in this posting. Monitor provider contract reports and compliance. Provide technical assistance on data systems. Aggregate and analyze OAS data. Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools. Develop and maintain program materials, communications, website updates that meet accessibility standards. Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly contract reports from OAS providers. Provide technical assistance to OAS providers on data collection systems. Support ongoing improvements to data systems by identifying issues and solutions. Communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders regarding expectations, timelines, and updates. Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external providers. Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and reporting methods. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Education, or closely-related field and 1 year of experience that includes gathering, analyzing, and presenting data or 4-5 years of experience in gathering, analyzing, and presenting data. Knowledge of data collection, reporting processes, and basic contract monitoring. Familiarity with databases and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, or similar). Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide technical assistance and develop clear materials. Ability to interpret data, support program improvements and build collaborative relationships while working independently and adapting to changing priorities.
