Trainer

Position Overview We are seeking an engaging Orientation Instructor to welcome and prepare newly admitted students for an 18-month, full-time entry-level radiography program. Working closely with the Program Director and Clinical Coordinator, you will plan and deliver a comprehensive orientation curriculum that sets students up for success across online didactic, face-to-face laboratory, and clinical learning environments. This role is critical in establishing a foundation of professionalism, engagement, and readiness for every incoming cohort. Key Responsibilities Curriculum Delivery: Plan and facilitate structured orientation sessions that introduce students to program policies, professional expectations, and successful study habits. Safety Instruction: Teach fundamental patient-safety and radiation-safety protocols to prepare students for the healthcare learning environment. Engagement: Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and motivating atmosphere that sets a professional tone for new students. Compliance & Administration: Ensure orientation content aligns with JRCERT supervision policies and program compliance requirements, while maintaining accurate completion records. Support: Utilize active listening and interpersonal skills to advise, support, and ease the transition for newly admitted allied-health students. Qualifications Education: Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field (or equivalent experience/training). Knowledge & Skills: understanding of radiography program structures, professional expectations, and the transition needs of new students. Working knowledge of radiation-safety and patient-safety fundamentals. Familiarity with JRCERT supervision policies applicable to new students. Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with standard office software and learning management information platforms.
